Professional Experience
Rachel has worked in a variety of settings to help individuals and families in resolving issues and working toward their desired lives for 10+ years. Rachel’s clinical experience began in 2012. Since then, she has joined with: children, adolescents, adults, families and couples to share their burdens as they improve their health and functioning and reach their goals. Rachel enjoys being a part of the change process as people explore their challenges and move toward becoming the best versions of themselves.
Approach to Therapy
Rachel’s approach to therapy is varied based on the needs of each client. She has utilized methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, etc. Rachel’s approach is holistic in aiding clients to address mental, emotional, physical, social and spiritual issues where appropriate. Her empathetic and non-judgmental approach helps to create a safe environment in which people can share their struggles and feel more confident moving forward. Rachel employs thorough assessment techniques to fully understand and create the best possible set of goals for each person, couple or family. Rachel also enjoys incorporating relevant spiritual principles into the therapeutic experience, however her spiritual outlook will never be imposed on any client.
