Approach to Therapy

Diana has twenty years of experience counseling and encouraging clients as they face impossible-looking situations. She has weathered two socialist takeovers in third world countries and consequently understands how difficult life transitions can be and how important it is to find meaning, purpose, hope and a “safe haven” in adversity. Her approach to therapy is based on the client’s needs and may include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (exploring how you think, feel, behave and relate to others), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT/EFIT), Family Systems Therapy (how we influence each other), and EMDR for trauma. Diana believes that the Bible is a remarkable guide for navigating life circumstances and she looks to biblical truth and psychological principles to guide sessions when a client is open to both. However, these principles are never imposed on clients.
