Charlotte Counseling Services Provided:

Insurance

For many reasons, we chose to be an out-of-network provider for all insurance panels.

One of the foundational principles of the counseling process is Confidentiality.  We feel that our clients’ confidentiality is best protected when third party payers (insurance companies) are not involved.  This also puts you, the client, in charge of your own health and well being. You, not a third party, will determine the number and length of sessions.

We do realize, however, that some clients would like to use their insurance.  In this case, we are happy to provide SuperBills with proper coding through our client portal that clients can submit to their insurance provider for possible reimbursement (as determined by your insurance company).

Telehealth

Telehealth, also known as Online Therapy or Virtual Therapy, involves meeting with a licensed mental health therapist through an electronic device like a computer, smartphone, or tablet. All you need is an internet connection and a private space. This allows clients and therapists to communicate in real time, as if they were in the same room.

While we prefer in-person sessions, telehealth can be beneficial when clients cannot visit our offices, especially for those living far away. It also helps bring mental health counseling to underserved areas in North and South Carolina. We utilize a HIPAA-compliant online platform that is easy to access and use. To meet the growing demand, we now offer telehealth services across both states.

Please note: Telehealth may not be suitable for all situations.
