Approach to Therapy
Amarie approaches therapy from an eclectic perspective implementing a variety of psychotherapy orientations, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT/EFIT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR/EMDR-M). Offering unconditional positive regard and empathy, she strives to create a nurturing and nonjudgmental environment to create safety for her clients. Amarie believes the Bible is a remarkable guide for getting through life. When a client is open to Biblical principles, she is trained to help those who are interested incorporate their faith into their therapy. However, these principles are never imposed on clients.
